The Main Causes of WWI There are many causes of WWI. The war offshoot of all started when Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in 1914. It twisting the five of import powers in Europe, which included France, Britain, and Russia, who were the Allies, and Germany and Austria-Hungary who were the Central powers. The causes include Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, and nationalism. In the ex take up to the war, in that respect was a rivalry between the European powers to outdo each others military. Because of all of the several(predicate) cultures between the border, Austria-Hungary was at risk of Nationalism. Nationalism posed a problem for Austria-Hungary, because it was one of the areas that were comprised of many remote national groups. Another factor which contributed to the addition in competition in Europe was Imperialism. Germany, Great Britain, and France necessitate foreign markets afterward the increase in manufacturing caused by the industrial Revolution.
